Episode 01
Victory Of War
General, Ling Buyi was victorious, and all the civil and military officials greeted him because of the victory of the war. After receiving the honour, he declined the invitation of accompanying the emperor for dinner and went to Chengjia Village to arrest the suspect.

Separation
Madam Cheng learned that her younger brother had been arrested and threw a tantrum, accusing Shaoshang of being unfilial. However, the Cheng couple firmly supported their daughter. The court officials accused Cheng Shi of colluding with the enemy and betraying the country. Emperor Wen issued a decree granting special amnesty to Shaoshang, as she was soon to be married, but ordered the rest of the Cheng family to be taken to prison. Shaoshang rushed back to the Cheng residence and, seeing her family about to be taken away, declared that if they were to go to prison, she would go with them so they could face it together as a family.

Shaoshang, using the excuse of visiting a family member in prison, requested a travel permit from the Empress but was actually planning to journey alone to Tongniu County. Shaoshang has never left the palace for 5 years. Although Yuan Shen wanted to get married with Shaoshang, he never gave up, even he didn't have any feedback from her.
